100m at Nonhyeon*, our spot
Once school’s done, the company’s calling
(Yeah, yeah)
Ah, I’m heading there right away
Please don’t send me home
(Oh) Sometimes I dream about those days
(Oh) I shudder and open my eyes
I don’t wanna go go back again
(Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go)
10년을 wait, wait
10 years, wait, wait
We from the bottom
I caught you bae, bae
We’re pretty fast
We seven mate, mates
잘 봐 we got us
Look carefully, we got us
Tell me what you wanna
Tell me what you wanna woah
(If we live fast, let us die young)
혼을 쏙 빼놓지 (make it move, left and right)
We’ve got you totally hypnotized (make it move, left and right)
그게 누구든지 (make it move, left and right)
Whoever you are (make it move, left and right)
Two bare feet are our gasoline
이제 가자, are you ready?
Let’s go now, are you ready?
(Okay, let’s go!)
Run bulletproof, run, yeah you gotta run
Run bulletproof, run, yeah you gotta run
Run bulletproof, run, yeah you gotta run
Run bulletproof, run
I stood under it, the rain that seeped through that Nonhyeon-dong studio
Cracking open some soju without snacks and telling my sob story
Words I promised myself, that everyone was dead meat when I succeeded
The reason for Bangtan’s success? I don’t know either, is there even one?
I guess we all just ran like hell
No matter what, we just kept runnin’
Here’s your answer hahaha
위로, got them
Comfort, got them
지조, got them
Consistency, got them
Good music, got them
Good team? Goddamn!
U said u hot, oh man, u not
There are those who race forward, those who fly above them*², and above them all
달리는 방탄 lezzzgo
runs BTS lezzzgo
10년을 wait, wait
10 years, wait, wait
We from the bottom
I caught you bae, bae
We’re pretty fast
We seven mate, mates

(Let’s go!)
Run bulletproof, run, yeah you gotta run
Run bulletproof, run, yeah you gotta run
Run bulletproof, run, yeah you gotta run
Run bulletproof, run
Through ignorant faith
we just run, with our two legs
That’s how we do it all
(AY AY)
That’s how we proved it
7 grassy plains*³
turned into a million dollars each
(AY AY)
지민이, 뷔, 고생s

Go get it, go get it, go get it, go get it, go get it, 달리자 run
Go get it, go get it, go get it, go get it, go get it, let’s run, run
(If we live fast, let us die young)
혼을 쏙 빼놓지 (make it move, left and right)

이제 가자, are you ready?
Let’s go now, are you ready?
Yeah
Run beautiful, run, yeah you gotta run
Run beautiful, run, yeah you gotta run
Run beautiful, run, yeah you gotta run
Run beautiful, run
Translators’ Notes:
* Nonhyeon is a neighborhood in Seoul and is where Big Hit’s office was located during BTS’ trainee and early days.
2. “Above someone running, there is someone flying” is a Korean proverb that means that there is always someone better than you.
3. A possible reference to the movie Marathon, which is based on the real story of autistic runner Bae Hyeong-jin. The word ‘cho-won’ means ‘grassy plains’ in Korean, but is also the main character’s name in the film. His legs are insured for 1 million won, which is a point of pride as his journey to success was full of struggle. The line from the film where his mother fiercely declares that his legs are worth 1 million became quite famous in Korea.
4. J-Hope uses the Korean slang term ‘고생s/go-saengs’, which is the shortened form of the phrase 고생했습니다 with an ‘s’ added at the end. The term is used to show appreciation for someone’s hard work while implying that the work was difficult or hard.
5. A purposely misspelled version of ‘Jin’ that the members often jokingly use.
