Video Issues?
The videos released on our website use Google Drive as a primary hosting service for streaming and/or downloading directly. As such, most issues related to video streaming can be remedied with a Google account.
“The number of allowed playbacks have been exceeded. Please try again later.”
The most common problem you might see, and usually happens the day we post a video. Unfortunately, Google Drive limits the number of streams on our account per day, and there is no way we have found for us to improve this cap.
“We’re still processing the video. Please check back later.”
When we upload a video to Google Drive, the platform takes time to process it before it’s available to stream. The bigger the video, the longer this period takes.
Broken link/Dead embed
This relates to any video embed that is broken, not including the error message about exceeded playbacks above. Occasionally, our videos will be taken down due to copyright claims on some hosting sites we use. For this reason, we try to make sure there is a Google Drive source for each video, so you can easily watch or download the video from there without issue. Feel free to report pages with broken embeds by simply sending us the title and/or link of the video on this form.
Hosting service blocked in your country
We’re sorry about this! Aside from Google Drive as our main hosting source, we often try out different hosts for secondary sources. Each service comes with their own downsides, and sometimes this means these hosts do not work in certain countries.
Solutions:
Check for other hosts or download links on the same page. We try to make sure every video has at least one other streaming host or download link you can use. Sometimes there are more underneath the main embed, so scroll down if you don’t see one.
Try again later if the video is still processing, or tomorrow as the streaming limit is reset every day.
Download the video by using a download link on the page, or by going to the Google Drive download page directly by clicking the square/arrow button that appears in the upper right corner of the video when you mouseover or interact with it. From the menu in the top bar of that page, you can always download the full source quality versions of our subbed videos.
Make a copy of the video to your own Drive if you have a Google Drive account with enough available storage space. The option to “add shortcut to Drive” will also be in the top menu bar of the Drive download page. Then from your Drive home, make a copy of the video. You can then stream the video freely using your own account’s limits.
